I will be making a pc for college, i have bought some of the items and I have some to go. I had to price range because I buy like 1 part a month.
CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor ($149.98 @ OutletPC) BOUGHT
CPU Cooler:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($44.99 @ Newegg) BOUGHT
Memory: G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($89.98 @ OutletPC) BOUGHT
Storage:
Video Card:
Case: Corsair 350D Window MicroATX Mid Tower Case ($89.99 @ TigerDirect) BOUGHT
Power Supply: Corsair CSM 450W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg) BOUGHT
Optical Drive:
To anything not bought, is there any suggestions to get? Was thinking corsair h100i for cpu cooler, the storage im puzzled on wether or not to go with SSD or a WD Black? video card is also needed, I chose 450W because in order for the 80+ certified to come into play it obviously has to use more than 450 Watts, my estimated wattage usage is 350~ I inputted a r9 290x as an example to see usage.
Whats your budget for this compilation ?
I was thinking that too for HDDs, I do not tend to overclock so I guess I should go with the H55
I have no current set budget, but I know what is too much and what isn't. Im buying the parts one buy one, hopefully no graphics card over $350.
Why do you need to build a pc for college lmao
Looks good.
Just a idea, you might want to get the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, because I've heard that many of their higher tier FX processors get really got with stock coolers without even over clocking. I personally would have gotten a higher wattage power supply, just because it is better to be safe then sorry; Just know if you install a higher end card, don't ever think about overclocking. I've never been a big storage hog, but if you need the capacity I'd go with a Seagate Hybrid Drive because it has very good performance and can come in large capacities. You can find a cheap yet reliable Solid State Drive 250 GB of Storage for about $150 if you're like me though! I wouldn't install anything greater then a R7 280 in there; I'm currently running a Gigabyte R7 270X and I can handle any game at highest settings perfectly.
