Did you apply thermal paste properly?

Thats a perfectly reasonable and safe temperature range.

Yeah! I used a dime amount of the Arctic Silver thermal compound and used a gift card to spread it. I found out that CPUID HWmonitor was reading the temperatures wrong; Searched the internet a bit and found someone else with the same problem and my temperatures are now reading 30C - 45C. Appreciate the help!

AMD CPU temperatures tend to be higher than the Intel ones. Have you done any overclocking at all?

Further optimizations were made and I sit around 20C idle and 40C on max load. It was a mixture between poor heat sink placement and bad readings from the program I was using.

OpenHardwareMonitor is a piece of software I'd suggest for monitoring CPU temps. 20C is very good CPU temp, 40C isn't that bad either.
