When trying the preview, what happens to the files you have?

So far, I've had it installed for 5 minutes and I've already noticed mass changes!

Multiple Desktop's
With the Windows Desktop's, it's not something I can take a picture of the animations of switching from workspace to workspace is flawless.
Windows 10 has changed quite a lot of it's icons now.
So far from my experience, I'm happy with it, so far, I'm sure I will jump from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
What's changed?
- Bug Fixes
- Start Menu change
- Task Bar change
- New animations (flawless)
- New Icons
- Better Performance.
Windows 7 Boot time - 10.4 Seconds
Windows 8 Boot Time - 13.4 Seconds
Windows 8.1 Boot Time - 11.7 Seconds
Windows 10 Technical Preview (unfinished) - 5.7 Seconds
Windows 10 Technical Preview (final build) - 4.3 Seconds
These boot times are using an old HDD transferring each file/program to the new OS as I was installing them as upgrades, not fresh installs.
M..Multiple desk tops...? I'm sold!
Really like the way Microsoft is headed with this, can't wait for the CP (consumer preview).
Been using for a while.
