Chat seemed most suitable for this.
I am making this thread to see everyones' opinions on this to see if I should continue with the idea, change the idea around, or just not even do it.

I already have the Auction Script and a vB forums. Just need to purchase hosting and domain.

    Anyways!
    What is a Penny Auction?
Sites like Beezid and MaxBids or whatever tend to use penny auctions as a great way to make revenue, considering the fact that they don't sell an item, unless it's brought in profit. You buy bids, and they have fake accounts that win if the bid doesn't get high enough, and they always put a bid on standby if it isn't getting enough traffic. That tends to be the down side of Penny Auctions, but we won't be doing that by any means. I just wanted to clarify this point in case anyone tries to make it.

Penny auctions are basically where you buy bids and you bid by the penny. You can walk out of it with a maxed Runescape Account for $10. Now, you may be thinking, well how does the seller benefit from something like this? Well, as we all know, our profits will be based off of bids purchased. I understand that originally people won't be necessarily buying bids instantly. So, I got a better scheme. People are allowed to sell accounts via PA no mattter what forum they are on, so it should be the same with this. By getting people interested in your account and registering through your referall link, you both recieve a free 20 bids or so (haven't decided).

Anyways so let's say you buy 100 bids for $10.
.01x10.00= 1,000. 1000 Bids = $100 so that is how much we would give you for the account. Examples could be totally different with this of course.

Gaming Markets we want to break out to:
    Runescape
    LoL
    WoW
    ESO
    Diablo III
    Guild Wars 2

If you have suggestions towards security or any other sort of feedback, please comment. Thank you.

Make this happen, and I will try this out... I don't even play RS but I will definitely try bidding on a RS account.

We told you, this doesn't work unless you have bots bidding for you, cheap tactics to time the bid out and a constant flow of traffic.

I do understand that this could definitely be a possibility. Figured if it failed. I'd just it into a bidding version of Player Auctions. Haven't gotten the specifics worked out yet.

Also, I have a few Niches for free bids, such as advertisement spots and what not.

If I may suggest something, instead of using bots, just make it so that the account you are selling has a minimum price rather then starting at 0$. That way you will make profit. For example, If I have a level 138 maxed out, I will sell it to you for $100, then you put it on your auction site for $100 as the starting price. Then boom, make a timer and watch it go seeing as you cant lose either way.

But then the entire point of the penny auction is that you can pick times up for next to nothing. Setting out to $100 puts people away where as a $20 account is more likely to get bids.

To another person, maybe $100 - $200 seems like next to nothing. Penny auctions don't make sense anyway. After watching quibids for like an hour, I only saw like 1 item sell for 23 cents.

For RSGP maybe you can start the bid off at $0. Seems like a good plan to me.

What. You buy 100 bids for $1 each so you have spent $100.

Each time you use a bid, it adds 1 cent to the items current bid (you can only bid in 1 cent increments) Thats how they make money.

Maybe I need to explain this more.

It'd be a lot cheaper than that.
    100 Bids - $10
How the person would get the money for the account would be based off of how many bids they get.
10 cents per bid, I suppose? Rs3 account sells for $10.00, that's 1000 bids. We give you $100. People get the account cheap. It's a win-win.

There'd also be a way for people to get free bids.
I plan on havig an advertising page for other forums and sites. Registering on them will give you free bids, and people would pay for advertisement.
Also, by joining through a referall rank, you get free 5 bids. If you are the refferer. You get free 5 bids as well, and if the person buys bids, you get a free 25 extra bids.

I think this could possibly work.
