If you really think Samsung Galaxy are the only phones running Android, then you're pretty retarded. I don't like Galaxies either, their TouchWiz skin ruins the UI. Granted that they've improved it and watered it down, but I still prefer the pure Android experience that the Google Nexus series offer, rather than those added by OEM's.

Now the fact you're comparing phone Operating Systems to RSPS, is why I'm no longer going to continue this conversation with you.
I wasn't comparing it to RSPS I was stating my opinion on how those bases plays as OS.

Besides, I did never said that Samsung is the only Android, don't try making fool of me because I have past experience with all those kind of OS.
What else is that iPhone is probably the easiest and user friendly phone I ever tackled to in my life.

Thats my opinion but hey atleast I don't come and say something so retarded as
    Code:
Peasant iShit device + £1.5k in price.

Fuck no. Get an Android next time.

Yes, you were literally just comparing rsps to the iOS and Android in your previous post. Even then why would you say 'Galaxy', and not 'Android'?
I also bet you don't even know the first thing about Android, whereas I've used both systems.
I'm also struggling to believe that the iPhone is the most 'user friendly phone'. Not to mention how locked down the entire eco-system is, wanna add widgets? Nah you gotta do that through some notification center. Wanna change your icon pack? Nope, gotta jailbreak. Want to move your apps from clustering your homescreen? Ha goodluck! iOS's homescreen is the equivalent to Android's app drawer. What a mess.

Whereas I can do anything I want with Android, and I'm not bound by limitations. Now go back to getting Steve Jobbed.

I agree, Get yourself either a Google Play Edtion of your desired phone, or root one and try out cyanogenmod. I use cm12 on my Nexus 5 and i love it.

By the way, did you know you can also download and run Android as a virtual machine on your computer? or if you prefer, install it as a 2nd operating system?

    this
can show you how to do this with the latest (ish) stock image. i don't think system updates would work, because it requires a "recovery" partition which this likely lacks. but you won't miss much, you should be able to try all the features that the latest version of android has to offer and judge for yourself which you think is built the best.

TBH, when i use people's old android phones (i'm talking gingerbread and ice cream sandwich) i cringe. even though i used to use and love it (though i modded the shit out of it) so if that's what you've used, i don't blame your low opinion.

    Spoiler for bigassimage:

    Edit:

Also, i'd like to address the difference between the design process of apps between apple iphones and android os phones.

Apple products have fixed screen sizes for their few different products, this means that app developers go, okay, here are my however many screen sizes, i have to make useable interfaces for each of them
chances are, they're all pretty much the same, just with minor scale changes here and there. simple, and it works, because it's all that's needed.

Android developers have to work with so many different sizes that making individual layouts is a ridiculous endeavor. so, the solution is, to make a design that simply re-arranges to fit on all sizes, scaling up or down, automatically.

You can see this if you've ever played an iphone game, ported to android on a device that has a large display, but is not quite a tablet. you see a big black outline along the right and bottom because it's a fixed size.

Hopefully this isn't still apple's standard of app development, i honestly haven't checked up on it recently, but i'm pretty sure it was that way at least until the 6 came out. at least on most apps.

The experience is what you want it to be. You may have used a Samsung phone (you probably did considering how you are referring to the entire platform as simply "Galaxy") and did not like the interface or general experience, but that isn't going to be the same experience if you were to use stock Android, another manufacturer's ROM or something like Cyanogen Mod.

The fragmentation can be seen as bad because something may not be available in one device or it may be hard to adjust when you acquire a new device, but there are also the benefits of being able to make your device truly your own and not being locked into design and functionality choices decided by a single entity.

This is far from a mature way to handle a debate. Come back when you mature and actually have something to say about the platform other than something akin to "I really don't like TouchWiz".

I don't understand why this would stop you from ever switching to a different platform; a lot of iTunes music is DRM free now and you can just strip the DRM with a variety of methods anyway (I think even Google Play automatically supports Apple DRM).

The biggest problem with Android that can leave a sour taste is the balkanization of the platform, so the experience may be horrible if you use a HTC or Samsung device due to TouchWiz or HTC Sense, but this is also maybe the best thing about Android because you won't ever be locked into a specific look, feel or device. I don't want to be forced into using an incredibly ugly device (imo) like the iPhone 6 with its plastic trim. I don't want to be forced into a specific form factor if Apple decides to discontinue one of their two form factors.

You are the one who posed the question "was it worth it?", so I don't get why you are upset that someone is arguing with you and asking you for a specific reason as to why you prefer something rather than a blanket "I just do!".

I didn't ask for an argument, I asked "was it worth it?" didn't expect such immature replies.

It's just like I'll list things that there in iPhone.

Beside how can you compare the whole Android to iOS, Android contains many types of phones from different providers nonelike iOS which belongs to Apple only.
What you're doing here is comparing multiple type of phones to a single one, so of course they will have more than the features they have.
