I suggest changing the matte color on the 'save to web' option to the background color of the forum/website you're putting the gif on.

so I made a transparent GIF for my signature. I was wondering why everything has white outline, it makes it look extremely bad.
I was wondering if there's a fix for it.
im using photoshop cs6
its because gif's cant be transparent, you'll have to get the color code of the bg then fill it in. r-s is #2c2c2c
Transparent GIFs are generally not a good idea. As mentioned above you can set matte to the colour of the background but that will only make it a bit less worse (example in my signature). Overall it's better to use a background if you are making a GIF.
Little addition: I hoped APNG would have been picked up by most browsers by now but it's not. APNG stands for animated png and was/is developed by mozilla. Check out the demo on the following site with firefox browser: https://people.mozilla.org/~dolske/apng/demo.html
