This is my first smudge. I did some of the smudging myself (with a bit of help from Yuck) and followed a tutorial for part of it.

Please give me some HELPFUL CnC!

    Thanks + cheers.

Not bad, try to get a flow going rather than just smudging randomly.
Stronger brush + nice lines would do it justice.

awesome work for your first smudge! although you need to work on the flow of it, just like everyone said above me about his arm but i must say, you nailed it on the sword, simply amazing for your first smudge, look up some good tuts, i posted some one someone else's first smudge but good work dude try using a smaller brush (9px) with 90% strength on it as it gets you a better flow with everything i find anyways

Put Strength on 90% when you're smudging ;s, give it more detail to make some depth.

KIU, nice work for a first smudge thou.

Don't blend your render by smudging it, it looks poor and amateur.

Use soft brushing and effects to get it to blend in. + work on establishing a proper light source. Right now I can see something behind the sword handle but it's hardly recognizable from the rest of the tag. Darken the areas where the light wouldn't reflect and add some effects in the area of the light source.

Also, be creative. Using green for Zelda and a basic smudge brush makes it boring. Use different colors, different brushes, or even experiment with adjustments

Yeah, I followed one of the tutorials you posted. I shall use 9px 90% from now on. Thanks.

Well it's just my first smudge. I didn't want to make it too complicated- I just wanted to make a nice-looking simple smudge. Thanks for your input!
    P.S.
I did darken the areas where the light wouldn't reflect, but IDK what happened...I guess I Ctrl + Alt + Zd or something.

It looks pretty okay. I feel the right arm has some good smudging near it but the left one just looks like you didn't care much for it. The hat would be good if it flowed with the colors and blended correctly, line everyone else has said. Overall it's a good first smudge!

peace. it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hardwork. it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

    I like it!

I'm not a graphics designer, but from someone who doesn't know anything about graphics it looks great to me. A bit of his cap looks like it could use some work but overall it's a nice piece of art. Keep it up!
