    I've been trying but I can't find a non-buggy way to do it, everythign I try gives me issues in one way or another. I'll keep trying unless I find someone who does it for me though.

    You could just like I said, add a delay where the damage dealt\update required is sent to the client. Not sure name of the method but it's something like npcDamage and playerDamage\applyDamage

    Wouldn't he have issues with his animations in that case? Because I keep seeing it as > Attack animation > Animation is finished > hit splat

    No, the updates are pushed to your client but for the other player (or npc depending on what you're attacking). It will be shown as Xp drop > animation > part of animation that actually hits & hitsplat. You don't really have to change your animation delay.
