Well just wondering how to check the version of the client on newer clients... on older ones I could just extract the client class from the .jar and search for "runescape" and check the line for the client version, but any1 know how to check it on newer clients??

BUT, I believe the client also sends its version to the server when connecting, so you can check it that way too.
Ye, but if I happen to got older .jar stored with unknown revision without cache it wont load that far as the version wont match to rs, so it wont load cache, and without cache it wont load.Originally Posted by Kamiel

I dont know the exact revision, but now I have client.jars close to #700 and if i search for "runescape" or 503 or 765 from client class it doesnt find anything, when on older clients that way worked fine..
find login block and look what revision its sending
In addition to the above, you should be able to look at the init() method in the client class and see the version passed as an argument in one of the last method calls.
