i kno this is a nooby retarded thing to be asking help on, and i apologise.
so ive done private servers before... years ago on 317. i just now (after 3 years) am making a new one. ive chosen a source [disturbed] and am beginning to work on it. my problem so far is... i can connect to my server on any pc on my home network. but any other networks may not join. so i can join linked by my router, but those whom arent directly linked cannot. my port shows as offline under all portcheck sites. now, i am running 64bit win7 home premium. i have tried everything from the new inbound rule to adding the CLASSPATH stuff on the pc itsself. i can download teamviewer if someone can assist me in simply getting online and accessable to others. thank you so much!!!
ive done everything listed. i can login to my router or whatever anyone needs for them to make sure im doing it properly. ive been trying for three days now and cannot see how the heck to get it properly working. i have trend internet security. maybe something in there? idk.
So you can't get it online? You need to portforward and open your firewall inbounds for 43594 (both UDP and TCP). For you to connect, use a client that connects to 127.0.0.1
yes. and when i put my client to 127.0.0.1 i can connect. or when im on my home network and connect to my set ip for the rsps [10.0.0.6 which i have portfwd ect] it will connect. on any other internet network than mine you cannot connect. so persay i can connect using ip 10.0.0.6 right now at my home on my home network. if you tried, you could not. idk why. i have opened firewall and port fwded. even tried using no-ip still cannot get it.
ive got my portfwd page open on my router, and everything open to test. if someone can teamview with me and assist?
im using this pc as my vps. i only ever use my laptop. so the desktop has been reformatted and cleaned for this project. i would do almost anything for assistance getting successfully online!
that says my port is open. it is automatically using my no-ip address. is no ip needed? or can you still use your normal ipv4 address?
