Hey Rune-Server. I've been working on my new server for some time now and I really want to get it online but I don't know how to
Now I've got a VPS and source, client, everything needed I just don't know how to make the connection, I've changed the server IP in my GUI.java file within the Client to my VPS IP.
I just have no clue on what the next step is, do I upload all the files to my VPS? if so how do you even do that?
    All help is greatly appreciated.

You connect to the VPS remotely. This opens up a window similar to a teamviewer or even to skype screen-share in a way. You can then just access the VPS computer just like you'd access your own, remotely. Download the files there, extract obviously and launch the server on the VPS. The client will then be able to connect to it if there are no third-party programs or shit such as firewalls stopping the connection, granted you've set all settings correctly to what they should be.

Cheers guys I fixed it. Server is online game is online, although I've hit another snag, I know the game works and client matches the server cos I sent the files for the client to a friend and he can play it on my server.
So my problem is Jar-ing my client. The message I'm getting. "Error connecting to the update server" I originally thought it was my cache, I checked it out and it was the wrong link, I've recently changed the link to my cache's link and its still not working. Any thoughts?
If you need screenshots I can provide.
