Runescapepvp is a hunger games game, where you play similar to what happened in the movie "Hunger Games". If you haven't seen it, don't worry, I'll explain about the features and what it's all about.
How does it work?
This is actually a really good question. Basically we have the Runescape map split into smaller parts, such as the Varrock area, which includes the whole city, Sawmill, both mining places and the things surrounding it. The map size vary from place to place, so does the player count. For example on the Varrock map (picture of the maps will come soon), we'll have a 30 player slot count, which means no one can join if there's already 30 players online.
You fight to your death basically. You'll start out with nothing, and then you run around the map, trying to find stuff. These stuff can be items, food, armor, weapons etc. they're also spawned in random locations and are not only spawned on the ground but can be in drawers as well!
When you die you'll get kicked (or get in spectator mode, TBA). There's no re-spawn no item spawning or anything.
We try to keep everything as balanced as we can so different items does different things. For example a long bow shoots almost twice as far as a short bow, and a heavy armor makes you run really slow, such as iron armor, where armor such as Mystic doesn't decrease your movement speed nearly as much. Of course, without inventory and armor/weapons you'll run the fastest, and furthest.

We were planning on this project for a very long time, on how it will work and handle things, and we finally decided to get in action and start working!
We have built an amazing development team in the meantime, which will lead us to the release of the official Hunger Games servers as faster as possible.

Many of you are wondering - we have a pretty big team of developers, and we haven't really had made any progress: But there is an answer for that.
We were really busy lately, building our MySQL database plans, to make the Hunger Games & our future integrated projects even more secure than they are supposed to be.
But now we have begun with the development and finally have came with some nice progress of our development.
I hope you all followers will enjoy the progress we're going to announce below, don't forget to register at our forums for more information & chat with our great community.
Development Logs / Progress - SERVER
- Player log-ins with his website username & password.
- Player's password becomes a variable, and checking out if there's a row with that username & password. If yes, return a success notice & grab the player's ID and set it (for future reasons).
- Player spawns in the Waiting Room (Lobby), in a random location inside it.
- Some interface appears, showing how much time left until the game starts, minimum players to start the game, Players ready, and score (Score will be modified for waiting room).
- Timers will start coutning down.
- Every 30 seconds, the system will remind the player to select a kit if he didnt do so.
- ::kit <kitname> command to select a kit.
- Warrior kit: gives a Steel sword & 5% attack and strength boost.
- Archer kit: Infinite ammo (depends: for Wooden bow: Bronze arrows, for maple bow: Adamant arrows, for magic bow: Rune arrows), A wooden bow, and ranging armour (Leather, chaps, hood, etc) 5% ranging boost.
- Witch kit: Infinite Strike spell, Wizard outfit & a Staff 5% maging boost.
- ::kits command, Fetches all kits from the user's ID row, and turns them into a array and then it will display them like this: Your kits: Warrior, Archer, Witch, Assassin etc.
- Every minute and half, the server will announce when will the game start.
- If player count is below 20, and timer reached 0, the timer will reset to 5 minutes and announce a sorry message.
- If player count is higher 20, and timer reached 30, the game will announce 'The game will start in 30 seconds.', if reached 10 or lower, the game will count down from 10 to 0 and then announce ' The Hunger Games has begun!
- Moves players to the battle arena.
- Sets era to the first era (We do not have names for eras yet).
- Turns on Safe Mode for two minutes and announces ' Safe Mode has been turned on for two minutes. ' (No one can attack each other during safe mode.

5% Strength, Attack boost + boost works with prayers: (If you are using Turmoil which is giving 25% attack boost, you will have 30% attack instead of 25%)

5% Ranging boost + boost works with prayers too.
Infinite Ammo.
The Witch - Free kit

5% Magic boost + boost works with prayers too.
Infinite Strike spell, Infinite snare spell, Ability to change spell books by clicking on specify item, instead of finding altars)
Can only use snare once in 30 seconds, He's really bad at stopping players!
Cannibal
This kit is coming with the following items:
Bronze Full Helm
Bronze Platebody
Bornze Platelegs
Bronze Short Sword
This kit is coming with thefollowing effects/abilities:
Ability to poison the opponent, 30% chance to poison for each hit.
Receive 1 to 3 pieces of food for each kill (1 for sure, but ability to get 2 or 3, if you're lucky).
Medic
This kit is coming with the following items:
Infinite Cure potion - can be used to cure yourself (Limited 30 seconds per cure)
Bandage - Can be used very 5 minutes, heals yourself 100% life points.
White robe set
This kit is coming with the following effects/abilities:
Ability to Heal the player by 50% (49.5 hit points) by right clicking on the player, and selecting the option 'Heal Player'. (Limited 1 minute per heal).
Ability to Cure the player by right clicking on the player, and selecting the option 'Cure Player'. (Limited 1 minute per cure).
Butterfly
The kit is coming with the following items:
Iron Full Helm
Iron Platebody
Iron Platelegs
Ruby Harvest (In jar)
2 Pieces of Manta Ray
The kit is coming with the following effects/abilities:
When clicking on the Ruby Harvest your character will teleport to a random location between wilderness level 1 to 7 and say: "Activating the butterfly effect.... ", once you appear , the player will start a animation and say "What? Where I am at?!". - Ability can be used once in every 5 minutes, if you will attempt at doing this right away again, this message will appear: "There is no butterfly in it yet, please wait until the jar recharges to use this ability again!".
Fisher
This kit comes with the following items:
Fishing net
Iron Dagger
This kit comes with the following effects/abilities:
With his fishing net, there's a chance he can catch a cooked fish! Note: You don't need random tools to catch specify fish, you can catch any type of fish, random with the Fishing net, for any kit.
5% Defence boost.
Assassin

Black Wizard Robe
Black Wizard Robe bottoms
Iron Scimitar
Jug Of Wine
This kit comes with the following effects/abilities:
When drinking the infinite Jug Of Wine, your character will have 50% Strength, Attack boost, but MINUS 50% defence boost for 3 seconds. This ability can be used once every 1 minute (Ability to hit 99 with Armadyl Godsword special with that effect, or get full damage hit by someone's special, very risky!

These are awful items, we know, but you will find better items on the floor, while playing.

New Ideas (Requesting Opinions):
Abilities System - In the skilling bar, it will display the 6 combat skills at the top.
Under that, we will place a bar, that will show how much ability knowledge percent you have.
Under that bar, we will place a button that will lead to your abilities book.
You can purchase new abilities here.
When your bar reaches 100% ability knowledge, that means you can purchase any new ability.
You receive abilities for doing positive things, for example: Killing people, finding a worth item, opening a chest, killing an aggressive NPC.
and more.
We currently don't have any ideas for abilities, but of course, we need your opinions on that!/
Weather System - Normal day / Snow day / Rainy day / etc.
In a snow day, you will lose one HP, every minute, unless you're standing next to fire.
In a rainy day, you will lose one HP every two and half minutes unless you're standing next to fire.
In a normal day, it will be normal.
Rain doesn't last for long. Maximum 5 minutes.
Snow maximum lasts for 10 minutes.
Normal day lasts for atleast 20 minutes after the game has started.
+ A custom tab that shows the current weather.
More ideas will be posted soon.
