    What is RuneBeam?

    RuneBeam is an initiative to create a platform for RSPS equivalent to other gaming platforms, such as Steam and Battle.net. RuneBeam consists of several key concepts...

    1. Toplist



    The RuneBeam toplist makes it easier to find the right server for you. With a plethora of options to filter by, finding a server will be easy.
    Also, our toplist isn't your typical toplist. It's been designed from the ground up to give good servers the greatest opportunities, not help the big servers get bigger. This means new servers have equal opportunities!

    2. Security



    One of the most annoying things in RSPS is when a server that you play gets hacked, and their database (including your password) is leaked for all to see.
    With RuneBeam, the servers never know your password. Instead, all authentication is run through our highly secured servers, and your password is protected far higher than is considered industry standard.

    We also provide you with a small variety of tools to protect your account from unauthorized access. We have a trusted device system which differentiates devices from each other, and requires email or Google Authenticator verification before granting access. This means that your account can be, in essence, un-hackable.

    This also means that if you're a server owner, hackers have less motivation to hack your server.

    3. Social

    Communicating with other players you meet on servers opens you up to all sorts of risks. Adding somebody on Skype could be the difference between you winning a stake, and getting disconnected and losing.
    With RuneBeam, we provide a 100% safe, centralized communication platform. No personal information is exposed, your IP address remains protected, and nobody can force you to do anything you don't want to.
    RuneBeam also means you can stay in touch with all of your RuneBeam friends, regardless of whether you're playing on a server (from inside the client) or not.

    4. Equality



    RuneBeam not only provides small servers with the chance to reach #1, but also we provide you with all of the features previously exclusive to more established servers.
    For example, donation rewards and voting rewards. Through an easy to configure panel, and an easy to implement server side, you can be rewarding your players in no time. We'll even do the setup for you, completely free*!

    RuneBeam also provides you with a comprehensive anti-cheat and anti-hack solution, detecting everything from macros to bespoke bot clients. Again, we'll implement this for you for free*!

    5. Unity

    Do you ever find that playing RSPS has a lot more overhead coordination than should be necessary? Juggling between the servers update page, vote pages, the servers store, and other such locations?
    With RuneBeam, everything you need is in one place. Your client is kept up-to-date, voting takes place inside our launcher, the store can be found inside our launcher, and your friends can all be contacted within the launcher or in the client. No more juggling!

    6. Transparency

    At RuneBeam, we won't make up rules as we go along. We won't hide features, we won't hide from helping you.
    RuneBeam will provide live support to help with all your account and billing questions.

    7. Ease of Use

    Find yourself paying for people to add "auto-vote" scripts? At RuneBeam, we provide step-by-step instructions on how to implement our SDK on both your client and server for the most popular server bases. If you can't, we'll even implement it for you, free of charge*!
    Also, we provide you with a simplistic management interface, whether it's the account management panel or the server dashboard.

    Interesting concept, this should be in the application development since it's not fully into the rsps concept like rest projects in the rs2 projects, more of a utility in progress.

    Hmmm, probably would be more appropriate there yeah. Although I've seen toplists and such in the RS2 server section so

    Profile creation now works fully:


    Additionally, an extensive penetration test has been performed on all of the current features, and there have been no security vulnerabilities found.
    Pressing "Play Now" now has basic functionality, and the game info tab on the right of the profile list is also fully functioning (displays server information + profile name, can easily add more features).

    The 'Play Now' button now fully updates the client (if necessary of course) using a JSON file (the server owner sets the URL with the following template:
    Code:

    ), and launches it.

    Additionally, the updating is done on a per-server basis, not per-profile, so if you have 100 profiles for 1 server, you only need to update it 1 time.

    Update 2:
    When you hit 'Play Server', a 1-use token is generated and passed as a parameter to the client application. If implemented, this will let the client log you in to the account selected automatically. These tokens expire after 1 hour for security reasons (1 hour is enough time for the cache to download), and are bound by IP aswell.
