Hey,
I'm done with my optimized openGL implementation on Emps-World. Anyway, Here's the result: 300fps in Al-Kharid desert on 1920x1080 and with minimum graphic settings on a GTX760:
I get between 100 and 150 fps in other areas (Grand Exchange, Barbarian village, Falador, ...), but Al-Kharid was most impressive for me.
Edgeville on my Laptop with texture support:
Texture support:
Max game settings:
Dynamic Shadows:
Start of HD water:
Water ripple and reflections:
Smooth coastlines:
Very far FOV:
Optimized and playable Rendering Distance of 80 (OSRS has 16):
Improved water & texture quality. The world rendering code has also been optimized to further improve fps and stabilize time per frame:
Damn, nice bro. :O
Minimum graphics with a GTX760 in a scene that has 32-bit textures in the surrounding area
I would hope you could get 300 fps honestly
Very nice job buddy, don't let the haters get to you.
So rather than showing off what FPS you're getting, why don't you show off some features utilizing opengl if you've actually written the 317 client to render it.
Also the client if vsynced for a reason, rendering excess frames is useless for something that doesn't ever drop below 50.
Would be better to see this in HD setting, a more populated map area, and or a picture with a few hundred players.
Very nice, that would of been quite a challenge.
Look forward to your next showoff
Something I never had the time to do and too many people telling me not to do.. anyways nice job
