I believe that reputation adding or taking should not be aloud within the spam section, as it makes no sense.

I disagree just liked I disagreed with the removal of thanks in the section. There are many posts I either like or dislike people posting in that section, and user feedback on posts is what keeps a lot of sections alive and clean.

How exactly does that change anything? If you post something someone does/doesn't like in the spam section then they could rep/derep you for something else you've posted in a different section.
