Moderators have very limited things to do here. You search the forums and handle rule breaking posts, reports, etc. With that being said, I also think it's unfair that so many people receive shoutbox bans without a reason as to why. The syntax is very easy to type and moderators have gotten into a habit of just clicking a button. I want to know, as I'm sure many other people do, why they were banned. Having it say no reason specified leaves the user confused and wondering what happened which causes a lot of anger and misdirection.

I know you mods are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO busy that typing a syntax every single time you shoutbox banned a user would be time consuming, however, I do feel a reason is appropriate and necessary.

While I do acknowledge and understand the rules, it would just be nice to see for which rule I broke and the punishment I received with a reason as to why. I know most of the staff have programming experience and kLepTo has already made some shoutbox modifications so I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to bring up a dialog box when clicking the ban button to insert a reason.

Just so you guys know the syntax, it's /ban X_AMT_OF_TIME -REASON- user (i think)

Also there are obvious exceptions to this rule, for example some idiot posting Scu's pictures or a ban evader but if someone who is using the shoutbox every day logs on in the morning is banned with no reason specified then they get pissed off. I'm not mad about this ban btw Cube, just wanna know which 3 hour rule I broke.

********If you want to support this, then please just thank the thread. No need to post "I Support". Alternatively, if you have a differing opinion, feel free to post, I'm always up to constructive criticism and like to argue my point :-)

I hope all the moderators find the time in their busy days to read this thread.

That's bull shit. Cube banned me for 3 hours for no reason. I've been banned for the reason "LOL" before and all I'm saying is give a legitimate reason and stop being lazy and 12.

I always try to attach a reason to it. I think other moderators should do that too for for example shoutbox reports. If someone breaks a rule at a certain time and a moderators bans him immediately, he and the mod knows what rule he broke. I agree that mods should add it, but it shouldn't be mandatory.

    P.s. Syntax is /ban TIME -r REASON- USER(ID)

    Spoiler for Love:
