I really think it would be a nice addition to add a verified middleman rank.

Why? because it would promote using MM's and encourages to use them for safe trading. Multiple of rune-server user's who are involved in buying and selling trade allot and so a high percentage of them get scammed.

So what's the harm being caused by adding this? nothing, it benefits the community and encourages buying and selling furthermore USING AN MM. Therefore the trade between the buyer and seller occurs smoothly and safely.

Requirements to achieve the rank can be decided as well, based on their trading history, infractions, etc...

The problem here is "verifying" a MM. How can we verify that somebody can be completely 100% trusted when anybody can scam anybody at any time they want? On top of that issue, we are not responsible for users getting scammed, tricked, deceived, or whatever else in a seemingly legitimate trade. We do our best to prevent people from getting scammed by illegitimate offers (e.g. enter your PayPal info here and we'll send you $500) and whatnot, but it's not up to us to prevent people from getting scammed in legitimate trades.

It is called a "black market" because you are using it knowing there are very obvious risks. Of course, scamming reports get handled, but we're not looking to prevent anything more than we already do.

There is a MiddleMan Services section on the forum, and that's about all we'll probably do for the MiddleMen on here.

You stated good point(s), however making the requirements difficult and hard to achieve is a good idea. I'm sure the people who achieve the rank wouldn't scam to lose it. Because with the rank they are making much more than scamming.

Problem is is that an MM can have top quality services and trusted throughout everywhere which is a good thing, there will be a day where something will be too good to pass.
Trust can be only measured so far. I don't see a point for MM usergroup as of the moment based on minimalistic amounts of MM users maintaining the active attribute on the forum.

No support, but I see the idea that you're suggesting.
    All the best,

This rank tends to backfire a lot.

Makes us liable if someone with the rank does run off but I'll forward this to the admins anyway

    Thanks allot sir!

and to the rest, thanks for the feedback. I'll be happy to read more.

The reason why I suggested this because I really would love to achieve this rank and also it give's the opportunity to other member's of this community to achieve something respectable and worthy.

I dont think you should.. Imo its a horrible idea. before even clicking the thread I was thinking the same.

This is a forum. At one point there's going to be a huge transaction and tbh most users here have the mentality "money >>>". So what do you think is more important to them. A website which they can change IP and make new account, or a couple hundred or even thousands of dollars. The problem here is that when such happens, who's going to take the blame. The site for verifying the user as "trustworthy". I don't think any site owner would want to be put in that position or face such a situation. And im not saying this to be a prick or anything but the main fault of the person getting scammed is the victim themselves... So why should the admins step in and risk their own neck when it's not even their fault or wrongdoing. There are many ways to prevent yourself from being scammed. Maybe making a stickied thread in marketplace on ways to prevent being scammed should be made if anything (if their isnt one already).

I mean, what do you suggest as "requirements"? Vouches really don't mean anything.

Think about it, there's not many ranks that are worth keeping for a $500, or even $1000 trade. A lot of people would easily give up a rank for $1000 on a website.
