What is now considered 'unique' to a 718 / 742 or 667 server? Since most everything has been released.

With every 718 /742 release posted in this section nothing remains as 'unfinished' apart from stuff like possibly the loyalty shop, or any other dead content minigames by jagex. The only reason you don't see servers content filled like CorruptionX is because nobody does any research...

every single skill up to 95% complete (or methods to achieve released)
    100% dungeoneering released (80-90%) matrix 3
    100% friendsIgnores with updating(90-95&) matrix 3
100% farming (posible with few mods to matrix 3)
    90% summoning, construction matrix 3
100% all possible character customising packets/interfaces
100% sof, bankpins, all possible bank/inventory interaction options
100% music tab interaction 863/863 unlocks
Near perfect monster combat scripts matrix3
tons of dumps (examines, destroy text npc str/def/lvls)
tons of dumping and extract tools
Near perfect player v player combat script
    100% godwars doors
glacors, corp, nomad, pest queen, godwars bosses, zaros gwd,
soulwars, castle wars, clanwars, ffa, wilderness, sorcerers garden, stealing creation, fist of guthix, runespan
    almost every 'useful' packet

    more to add.

Not considering any client modification/sprite editing 'unique' or anyhow difficult

almost nothing in this section can be considered unique please don't use that term

can guarantee you that most of the released content for skills is unfinished

most of the contents are unfinished and contain various bugs so your percentages aren't very accurate

and emulating something is considered unique? you make no sense

the point I'm trying to make is that matrix 3 has a lot of content but is nowhere close to being finished, try to make something out of it instead of believing making content yourself can be considered 'time waste'

It's not about uniqueness.. it's about having an enjoyable environment and not broken content for your users. Something a lot of people here obviously don't understand

For me, a server is about how unique it is in comparison to other servers while having working fundamentals. Much like building a house, building a server required a stable base and good plans. Not doing so would cause a collapse.

A server which demonstrates creativity while backing that creativity with functionality is a server that is on its own path. For example, if you look at the majority of advertised servers, most are advertising full construction, boss pets, 120 capes, etc. What if you were to remove that content entirely and build something new from a small idea to replace it. For example replacing construction with carpentry and changing the entire layout of the skill. That wouldnt be deemed bad and would be unique, content that would be redundant across 100 servers.

Point is theres no point in having all this fully working functions is everyone has them because it creates the question "why would i play this server over another"

Knowledge / Intellect is one thing, but Creativity is another. The two go hand in hand and theres an imbalance in either, that is what is leading to failure.

Since nobody can really recreate Runescape as a whole, I think you're right. Also if you're going to be less original and try to just simply emulate something RS had, at least add something special to it. Like having a bonus money/item reward related to your slayer task after completing it would be a nice addition.

Something unique that keeps players entertained that isn't offered on your average leeched 718. You have to have creativity along with content, by that I mean not just one thing that separates you from your average, but lots of things. I won't be specific as we all think differently on what's considered a good idea.

If I were to play anything above a 525 I would look for two things: non-EoC combat and plenty of bosses to kill. I'm a huge PvMer, so bossing, combined with drops and economy, will keep me going for a while. Easier skilling areas are a nice plus, too.

It is definitely possible to recreate Runescape. Ex. TrinityCore's 3.3.5a content is pretty solid in, their server architechture isn't entirely correct though. People just need to work together instead of writing on their own "snowflake" server.

Unique to me would be to see it more "RS-like", so that many features, necessary or not, works.

Unique is a terrible word to use in the RSPS community. Nothing is really unique, besides a few projects I remember seeing years ago that did things no one else even tried to do before. I'm not sure what other people look for in private servers these days but I just looked for something that had faster xp rates than RS and good combat.
