I personally find it hard to find a starting guide or a efficient way to make money and start off, I only ever login for like 10 minutes at most before I get bored and log.
They also need to adjust to OSRS and whatnot, the data they have aren't really used that much, etc.. Would be wise to add osrs contents to gain players interest, etc..
I don't need to talk much, and I don't need to please anyone..
All I have to say; Just set up old emps; if no.
Then enjoy ur dreams about to get 500+ like before.
I believe you should crying like a kid, I personally played both emps-scape and emps-world and they're both amazing! Even with higher graphics and stuff the whole journey is way way way better, everything is clear, everything is in the right place. If you don't want to play, dont blame the revision and tell the owners to do something that takes forever and not even worth doing.
I believe the reason why they dont have 500+ like before because of the fact they don't advertise a lot, and the people who played emps-scape are in the university now and have no time to play servers (most of them)
Thanks a lot for all the feedback, guys! I personally don't know why Emps gained so many players in its scape times, it was never advertised. We're currently having advertisements on Facebook mainly. Now looking into getting ad slots on toplists, though I don't know if this is the right place for a more customized game?
Any idea what could help you to start off? Some kind of guide or set of tasks?
All these kids whinging, go make your own server how you want it. Stop begging for polls or wishing bad will on someone else because it's not to your taste. Hopefully this gets big as old Emps
Well, in the old days there were the players that created sorts of tutorials at forums. I did use alot of them. Emps gained alot of players in the old days because of the community(there were alot of players and everyone communicated with eachother as the playable area was smaller, so alot players met eachother very often while playing). A good and interactive community brings alot of players, that's the key. You may put up advertisements, but if a player logs in and sees that the server is kinda empty, then the player gets boring after few minutes.
Thomy u should ask urself how we had 800+ players without advertising? Cos it was a perfect game old school with music and sound system it was excellent server , if still say " emps oldschool had a lot of bugs, everything can be fixed.. "
Runescape did update and it hasn't old school, u don't ask urself why they added old school? Anyway..
You just don't think about the people who likes old school.. (600 players). If u get it back.. Trust me most people will come back, making youtube videos.. And it will be 400+ in the first week. I think about tonstart to work about emps beta.. And try it.
Or just do another Poll..
The cause of the player drop is maybe 10% newer graphics. 90% is people growing up, the fact we don't advertise and the overall 60%-90% player drop of all RSPS players over the last 3-5 years.
If we didn't update to a newer revision emps would have lost 500 players anyway. Claiming updates were a cause is absolutely ungrounded for
The player drop is caused by the lack of motivational content, and because of that the community is dying. Also, the server has too wide area for content, based on the online playerbase. Empty areas(where there is no player activity) no player communication and that brings us here where new players join, see almost no players around to communicate with and voila, after 5 minutes it gets boring. The game content just looks too plain and white. You fail to realise that it's the community that holds the players on the server. Yeah sure, the graphics may impacted a bit, but mostly the decline of the community has brought emps to this low point. No flame intented
