    why not? it seems like it would be able to handle the huge input depending on how much a person puts in it.

    because you would have to update 10000 items every 5 hours or so.

    Depends. If you can get MySQL working effectively along with it, then MySQL is the best.

    No, don't use mysql.
    Why would you need it? To like, hold the items, etc?

    Well if your server doesn't dc a lot, why not use a map or array or something (Just throwing that out there, I've never done G.E And don't know if it could work)

    Or make it save to a binary file.

    Mysql is good for storing and grabbing info, but not that frequently, and not that much.

    yeah possibly the prices would be put on the mysql because they wouldn't be used as much. but yeah ectasy that would probably be better if it is getting used that much.
