Well, I am on the website side part of trying to connect to mysql *using absolut.x10hosting* and while trying to make a vote connection to mysql (just simply trying to connect to username, pass, database name) I get an error: could not connect to mysql database: access denied for user root@localhost using password:YES.
I have tried looking it up on google a few times and I've tried turning off my fire wall as well as many other things. Do you think its the website hoster, or is it something like allowing mysql to work? Any help would be great.

MORE INFO: I'm using GTLVote v1.1, so, that might help. *the problem is not the gtlvote itself, checked so myself*
The problem is either with the website host or MySQL.
    I'll be your guardian angel.

I believe you enter your domain's name? I could be incorrect though.

    e.g. domain.com

I did that using 127.0.0.1/localhost. So, it's a website problem and not the SQL? Although I added it, it still seems to not work. Do you know of any other free remote MySQL websites?

Ok, Ok. I just figured it out, sorry you had to put up with me . Thing is, the problem was with the website. It claimed to provide "remote MySQL", so, I couldn't even use my own phpMyAdmin information. I had to use the website's provided server. Too bad I can't access my files through XXAMP, but anyways thanks! Helped me a lot.
