Why are you still forcing 1 texture on ALL underlays?
Shouldnt it be easy to blend the textures now since you use opengl? (I have no experience with OpenGL this is just a guess)

The client's original source is a 317. Don't know if you can really call it that anymore, because most of it has now been rewritten and improved. It's loading customly packed 667 data.
There's different floor textures and a default one. Blending them together should be possible with an appropriate shader, I haven't yet worked on that though. My first shader goal was shadows.
Yeah, that's right. The picture's really old though, alpha blending works properly in later versions. I'm not yet combining textures, so there's no seamless texture transition on the tree's stump.
